Civil Defence - a matter of civic responsibility.
When we think about Civil Defence we often think of terrible disasters, earthquakes,
fires, landslides and so on.
Luckily, Tignale has never experienced most of these events, but searching for people who
get lost, putting out fires on private property or
forest
fires,
pumping out flooded basements and cleaning the streets after heavy snowfalls or hazardous
spillage are part of our daily work.
Tignale Soccorso’s members respond to both medical and civil defence call-outs, each
according to their abilities.
Generally speaking, Tignale Soccorso is called to about twenty civil defence emergencies
per year.
